Garcia knocked down Fortuna during the fourth, fight, and sixth-round, after which the referee called off the fight, declaring Garcia the winner. This will be the 23rd victory for the 23-year-old boxer who has now set his sights on competing in the Welterweight division.
Garcia wants to move up to Welterweight
Garcia has competed at 135 pounds throughout his professional career, even winning an interim title in the division. However, at the post-fight press conference, he stated his plans to fight at 140 pounds in the future.” I’m not going back down to 135lbs for nothing.”
Moreover, he added that he wanted to face long-time rival Gervonta Davis, but at 140 pounds instead of 135 where the pair usually compete, and also that it would get him the respect he deserved.” I will fight Tank next at 140lbs. I’m gonna record all the negotiations, so you can’t say I’m ducking. That fight’s gonna give me the respect I deserve. Where there’s a will, there’s a way.” ”

Garcia and Davis are two of the best prospects in the lightweight division, and it looks like they are on a collision course to face each other. Tank proved his worth in the ring after knocking out Rolando Romero in a devastating fashion earlier this year, with Garcia also doing the same against Fortuna.
Moreover, there have been rumors of a potential fight between the two for a long time and now, with Garcia overcoming the toughest challenge of his career dominantly, Davis might be next for The Flash.
