A couple of years back, Luke Campbell collided with Vasyl Lomachenko for a unified lightweight title fight. The duo rolled out an astonishing show for the fans in a bout that was ranked as one of the best in 2019. Despite losing that high-stake encounter, the Brit received massive applause from boxing pundits and enthusiasts around the world.
After that win, ‘Loma’ challenged Teofimo Lopez and ended up on the losing vertical. On the other side, Campbell too succumbed to a brutal defeat against the internet sensation, Ryan Garcia.
Recently, Campbell was in a chat alongside ‘KingRy’. Here the pair discussed the damage Campbell did to Lomachenko despite losing.

Garcia said, “To me, you put the biggest dent in Lomachenko’s game.”
Sponsoring Garcia’s notions, Campbell responded:
“That’s what I was going to say. I said that to my friends and family. I said that I feel like, after that fight, I put a dent in Lomachenko. I don’t believe he will be the same. And then when he got in against Lopez, he didn’t even throw a punch for seven rounds.”
Both ‘Loma’ and Campbell traded enough punches until the last gong of the fight. Although the Ukrainian won with a unanimous decision, the 33-year-old didn’t give it so easy to him. Per the duo, the tough fight is what affected ‘Hi-Tech’s’ mental game, and therefore he lost his battle against Lopez.

‘Loma’ suffered a saddening defeat on his last outing. It was the biggest fight of his life, and he didn’t fare the way he was supposed to. Though Lomachenko picked up pace in the later rounds of the fight, it was pretty late to have a significant impact.
However, he has taken that loss on his chin, moved ahead, and is gearing up for a staunch 2021 return. Moreover, ‘Loma’ wishes to rematch his foe, Lopez, as soon as possible.
