Lightweight superstar Ryan Garcia has finally announced his next fight. After weeks of speculation, the WBC interim champion has decided to fight legendary boxer Manny Pacquiao in a super-fight. This is a move that has surprised many as he teased a fight against Gervonta Davis for quite a while.
Garcia has been calling out Gervonta Davis for a fight ever since his victory over Luke Campbell. Davis had even verbally agreed to a fight. However, he has put his title hopes on hold for his dream fight.

The 22-year-old broke the news on his Instagram and wrote, “A dream turned reality It’s an honor to share the Ring with @mannypacquiao I will always respect what you did in and out the ring. Here’s to the best Man Winning.”
He has previously said the Manny Pacquiao was his dream fight and called him the only great after Muhammad Ali. The young super-star seems to have got his wish now. However, there are no more details about the fight, including the date. We will have to wait on those details for now.

Fighting Pacquiao will mean Ryan Garcia will have to delay his lightweight title hopes. Despite being mandatory for Devin Haney’s WBC belt, he has chosen to fight the Filipino. Furthermore, he will also have to wait to settle his rivalry with Gervonta Davis.
Manny Pacquiao is in the twilight of his career and has only a few big fights left. He had previously expressed his desire to fight Errol Spence Jr and Conor McGregor. However, with this fight, it means that one of those fights against Spence Jr or McGregor may not happen.
