Verrett asked Gervonta Davis, “Ryan has a lot of young ladies who follow him, who are big fans, so you get to play the role of a bad guy for them. They don’t wanna see his face get messed up in the ring. How do you feel about that role?” Davis responded by saying that Garcia has been trying to paint him as the villain all along, but he’s fine with it.

Garcia then interjected, insisting that he wasn’t “playing anything” and that Davis was the real bad guy. Davis shot back, accusing Garcia of being “make pretend” and Garcia started questioning Davis why he couldn’t get sponsors. The two went back and forth, with Davis telling Garcia to take a good look in the mirror and Garcia telling Davis to do the same.
