Just a day after Oscar Valdez tested positive for phentermine, a prohibited central nervous stimulant, the entire Eddy Reynoso team is facing the wrath of the boxing world. As Valdez is one of the prime fighters under Reynoso’s wing, his positive test for the banned substance has raised doubts about other fighters in Reynoso’s gym, namely Canelo Alvarez and Ryan Garcia.

This is not the first time anyone from Reynoso’s camp has tested positive for a banned substance. In the past, the current pound-for-pound king, Canelo Alvarez, too, tested positive for consuming clenbuterol, which is banned by the Voluntary Anti Doping-Association. It left a spot on Alvarez’s illustrious boxing stint.

Now, Valdez‘s recent positive test has put a dent in Eddy Reynoso and his fighters.

Recently, one of his elite fighters, Ryan Garcia, faced the heat for the same from his nemesis. Gervonta Davis took it to his Twitter and wrote, “Lol..so we using stimulants to enhance our performance now. Bet”

Ryan Garcia engaged in a verbal tussle with the WBC lightweight champ, Devin Haney.

Firing back at ‘The Dream’, he wrote, “Shut your mouth, accusing me of cheating… i get it you can’t punch even with 8oz gloves but don’t be accusing me of such a serious accusation”

As of now, no one from Reynoso’s team has commented on the pertaining matter. But soon, they might come up with a statement about Valdez’s positive test.

Is it fair to criticize Ryan Garcia or Canelo Alvarez for Oscar Valdez’s test?

Garcia and Alvarez are two of the biggest fighters in Reynoso’s camp. Over the course of time, the pair has worked extremely hard to reach where they are today.

Although Alvarez had his fair share of controversies for his drug test, he returned to the ring and proved his worth to one and all with his skills. Following the same pathway, ‘KingRy’, too, is eager to become a boxing great. The youngster, on his journey, has yet to test positive for any banned substances.

That said, it’s definitely not fair to criticize either of the two for someone else in their fight camp testing positive for a banned substance. What is your take on the same?
