Does Tim Tszyu see a potential opponent in Ryan Garcia? Well, everybody’s pitching in with their unique take after the bizarre weigh-in that took place this Friday between Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia. During the weigh-ins, Garcia ended up weighing 3.2 lbs more than the required weight. This started the conversations about Garcia not being serious about the fight.

On the other hand, ‘KingRy’ talked about how he’s ready to do anything to win against the current WBC super-lightweight champion. Even if it means that he won’t be able to become the world champion. So, he sees it as a 3-pound advantage rather than something to feel ashamed about. More so, ‘The Soul Taker’ has dispensed a useful advice regarding weight after Garcia crossed the scales.

During the weigh-ins, Ryan Garcia made an enthralling entry with a beer bottle in his hand. At first, it seemed to be just for the props, however things got real when Garcia proceeded to chug the beer while his weight was getting measured. Amidst all this, Tszyu posted on X.

Tim Tszyu wrote, “Should probably move up to 154 @RyanGarcia.” As of now, the most catchweight where Ryan Garcia has competed was in his last fight against Oscar Duarte. He weighed around 143 lbs in that fight, and now against Devin Haney, he’s about to break that record. So, is it possible that his next jump would actually be the 154 lbs mark?

Even the people who were silent about this fight have started to intervene with their own sets of opinions, and Tszyu is one of them. However, Garcia remains unfazed.

Ryan Garcia claimed he was just enjoying a “nice a** beer” while everyone else was putting in the hard work to make weight. However, later Garcia himself confirmed that it wasn’t actually beer, instead he drank apple juice and sparkling water. Still, Garcia stated that he went through hell to make the weight, but couldn’t for some reason. Meanwhile, Devin Haney isn’t buying Garcia’s story for a second. Haney is calling him out for unprofessionalism, and honestly, it’s hard to disagree.

He said, “He’s very unprofessional. I told him yesterday his antics would betray him and this is just the start.” Remember all that weird social media stuff Garcia has been posting lately? Haney says this weight miss is just the tip of the iceberg. Speaking of social media, Garcia basically confessed online that he never planned to make weight. He’s out here talking about his “3-pound advantage” and saying “winners do what they have to do.

Is that what winning looks like these days, Ryan? Sounds pretty disrespectful to his opponent. But maybe that’s what he wanted to achieve. What are your thoughts on this? Let us know in the comments section.
