NBA legend LeBron James made history by becoming the all-time highest scorer in NBA history. People from all over the world are commending the legend for his massive feat. Meanwhile, other sports personalities, such as Roy Jones Jr. also wrote something special for the NBA star. After surpassing Kareem Abdul Jabbar’s record as the highest scorer in the NBA, James is all set to make his new record harder to break, for future generations. Meanwhile, boxing legend Roy Jones Jr. shared an old photo of the legend on his Instagram story today, and this has certainly taken their bond to newer heights. LeBron James broke the record of Kareem Abdul Jabbar on February 7. His wife Savannah also shared a heartfelt message for James’ big day.
LeBron James sets a new record
In 1984, a child was born, who would dominate basketball like no other, and he was none other than LeBron Raymone James Sr., commonly known as ‘King James’. He started his career in 2003 with the NBA team Cleveland Cavaliers. There was no look back after that for the champion. Later he joined Miami Heat in 2010. After spending 4 years in Miami Heat, he switched back to Cleveland Cavaliers in 2014. Lastly, he settled down with Los Angeles Lakers.

In a career span from 2003 to the present, he has won numerous championships and awards. Which includes 4 times NBA Champion, 4 times NBA Finals MVP, and a massive 19 times NBA All-Star. He also represented the USA in 2008, and 2012 Olympics and won gold. In the 2004 Olympics, he bagged the bronze medal for the country.
For such a champion, he made new records by surpassing the previous highest score by Kareem Abdul Jabbar, whose all-time score was, 38,387 points. LeBron James’ new score stands at 38,388.
Roy Jones Jr. shares a special message for LeBron James
Boxing Legend Roy Jones Jr. shared a photo to celebrate James’ success. In the picture he was seen along with, Emmit Smith. Roy Jones and LeBron James both are among the best in their respective fields and also share a great friendship. Notably, Roy has also talked in favor of the NBA star previously.

As per USA Today, in 2019, when it was downhill for Los Angeles Lakers, Roy Jones Jr. said, “Why do think they say LeBron James is one of the best pound-for-pound basketball players? Because he can do everything he may have a hard time with the big shots at the end of the game, but everything else he can do. Everything else he can do is immaculate, he is one of the best specimens that basketball has ever seen, and he can do it all.”
