In his latest interaction with FightHype, Kenneth Sims Jr. explained patience would determine the winner of Garcia vs. Haney. In addition, he pointed out that the two boxers understood each other as they had fought multiple times as amateurs in the sport. On that note, Roy Jones Jr. agreed to Sims Jr. “Well, the good thing about it is that they fought six times as amateurs. They both are well familiar with one another,” the former Cruiserweight champion told Fight Hub TV.
As a result, Jones Jr. hoped there would be no early-round stoppage. In his opinion, the longer the fight goes, the more we will determine which fighter has grown professionally. “Professional boxing is different from amateur boxing. You start to find it out when the rounds get longer. You find out who has developed and who has not developed as a professional,” added Jones Jr.

“It’s just a matter of who can hold on the longest,” Jones Jr. said. In short, as per Roy Jones Jr., patience and maturity will determine the winner of Garcia vs. Haney. Before concluding, the 55-year-old was asked what Garcia could do better in the fight against Haney.
Jones Jr. advises Ryan Garcia to have more than a left hook
As per Jones Jr. Garcia is a smart boxer. However, the 25-year-old seems to rely heavily on his left hook. On that note, the 55-year-old feels that Garcia should “use more weapons.” “You can’t just depend on the left hook. Everybody knows about your left hook now,” said Jones Jr. Speaking about Garcia’s favorite punch, Jones Jr. even referred to the time Garcia fought Gervonta Davis aka Abdul Wahid.

As per Roy Jones Jr.’s analysis, against Davis, Garcia mostly depended on his hook. But, Davis had figured out ‘KingRy’. As a result, Ryan was desperate and ended up getting knocked out. On that note, he concluded by saying, “I think he should develop more tools. His right hand, jab, body shots. Develop a few more weapons.”
