Two-division world champion Gervonta Davis will move up to 140 lbs and challenge Mario Barrios for the WBA (Regular) title on June 26. ‘Tank’ already appears to be the favorite over Barrios and even though Barrios is an undefeated boxer, fans have apparently demeaned his chances in the mix.

However, lightweight boxer Roland Romero isn’t doing the same. He has hailed Mario Barrios’ chances in the fight and has envisioned it to be a tough night for Davis. Although it doesn’t take away Tank’s chances of winning, it has clearly intensified the fight for the right reasons.

Speaking with Fight Hub TV, ‘Rolly’ said, “Mario [Barrios] is a hard fighter. Barrios is going to make it difficult. So, I am gonna see Barrios.”

Being a natural super lightweight, he will relish around 5” height and  4” reach advantage. So, ‘Tank’ might take a back seat in the fight and can have a hard time trying to decode his rival. Nevertheless, he has expertise in closing the range and can still have a crack at Mario Barrios.

When Davis made his lightweight debut from the super featherweight division several people ridiculed his ability. However, he has been on a tear at 135 lbs and currently holds a 24-0 record, including 23 KOs. So, ‘Tank’ can bring a lot to the table for Mario Barrios.
