While fans might have to wait for WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury to return to action, his brother Roman Fury can cater to boxing fans. The 25-year-old boxer seems to be following in the footsteps of his elder brother as he will make his boxing debut in Blackpool on September 10.

Moreover, it seems that he has also undergone an incredible body transformation before he steps foot in the ring. In an interview with VIP boxing, Fury revealed that he had lost almost 6 stones or 84 pounds. He stated that the lockdown caused by the pandemic left him without a job, causing him to gain 6-stone. “I used to be six stone heavier than what I am now. I was 20 stone, a real mess. Lockdown happened, I had no work, I was eating crap, playing on the Xbox, and I had no life whatsoever.” He said.

However, he added that his life turned around after he was invited by his brother Tommy Fury to train in his gym. This resulted in him losing a lot of weight and gaining confidence. “Tommy invited me down to train with him. I had a couple of sessions and I started getting into it. I trained more and more until it went from training twice a week to six times a week and the weight came off, the confidence grew.” he added.

Fury will now get a chance to showcase his skills at the Doncaster Race Course, Yorkshire, UK. Moreover, he will have some of the best cornermen on his side in Jimmy James Harrington and Isaac Lowe.

Roman Fury shares his thoughts on Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua

Fury also shared his thoughts on the potential bout between his brother and Anthony Joshua. He hoped that the fight takes place after all the drama surrounding it and claimed that it would be an easy bout for ‘The Gypsy King‘. Moreover, he also stated that unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk would also be no match for his brother.”I’m not sure if the fight happens with AJ and I hope it happens, because Tyson wins that fight every day. It’s not a hard fight for Tyson. Usyk is the same, Tyson is too big for Usyk and that will prove a big factor in the fight.” He said.

However, this highly anticipated bout is looking like a far-fetched possibility every day. Both parties have recently announced that the fight is off despite promoting it for over a month.
