Garcia took on Luke Campbell in the first major event of the year. The undefeated sensation came back from an early knockdown to knockout the Brit. As a result, he became WBC interim champion.

‘Rolly’ spoke to FightHype.com on YouTube and gave his honest take on Garcia’s fight. He said, “He was smart. He kept seeing Campbell, just kept going up with the whole circle right. So, he kept blocking that hook, you know. And then, boom. Switch it to the bottom, you know. And like I said, that’s a better move, you know.”

This will raise a few eyebrows as Romero has previously shown his dislike towards Garcia. Moreover, he even asked Teofimo Lopez to not fight Garcia, just so that he could. Therefore, the American crediting Garcia will be a surprise to some.
