In a conversation with ESPN, Romero mentioned how Mayweather has done a commendable job molding Davis into the fighter that he is. He said, “Without Floyd, Gervonta Davis is nothing. He may still have his skill set and all this, you know. But as far as marketing, he has zero personality.”
Moreover, Romero also mentioned that Davis is a “piece of sh*t” to the people in the sport of boxing.
Romero added that he might be able to secure a first-round KO against Davis. He said, “He’s going to walk into something because he’s f*c*ing stupid.”

In fact, ‘Rolly’ also mentioned that Mayweather treated Davis like a son and it was ungrateful for him to leave ‘Money’. He said, “He’s ungrateful; Floyd f*c*ing spoiled him. Like beyond spoiled him. He’s an ungrateful piece of s***. And it’s the truth.” However, ‘Tank’ seems adamant about his decision in parting ways with Mayweather after 7 years.
