In the honor of the military veterans who served in the United States Armed Forces, the United States, on 11th November, observes Veterans Day. On this occasion, to acknowledge the contribution and sacrifice made by the US military veterans, several figures from the community of boxing took to social media and had their respective thoughts penned.

Veterans Day coincides with other major holidays that include Armistice Day and Remembrance Day. On Veterans Day 2022, popular boxers and entertainers took to social media and expressed their gratitude. Starting from Jamel Herring, to Michael Buffer, to Sylvester Stallone, the world of boxing took to Twitter to express their sentiments and emotions. Jamel Herring took to Twitter and wished his followers and the world a happy Veterans Day. In a very simple message, with the American flag and a salute emoji, he said, “Happy Veterans Day to all who served past or present. 🇺🇸🫡 #SemperFi.”

On the other hand, the famous ring announcer, Michael Buffer, shared a picture of himself from the time he served in the military. With a black-and-white picture of himself in a uniform, Buffer said, “Veterans Day in America. Thank you for your service and especially to those I served with from 1965-1968 who are no longer with us! I love you guys! R.I.P. With respect forever..Lest we forget!❤️”

The wishes poured in. Sylvester Stallone, the famous actor who received the Boxing Hall of Famer because of his famous Rocky franchise, joined in. Here is what he said.

Taking to Twitter, Stallone acknowledged the brave Americans who made, as per his belief, America the greatest country in the world. He said, “Happy Veterans Day to the truly brave Americans that made this country the greatest in the world!”

Boxer Alycia Baumgardner also took to the same platform and posted this heartwarming picture on her timeline. She said, “Thank you Veterans.”

Similarly, the official account of Golden Boy Boxing took to Twitter and said, “HAPPY VETERANS DAY! Thank you from our Golden Boy family to all the men & women who support & serve our country! We are forever grateful for you! This day is special to us because we honour & thank our own Chief Operating Officer, Rob Gasparri who served in the Marine Corps!”
