The Jake Paul vs. Mike Perry fight is just ten days away, and the pay-per-view prices were finally unveiled. But instead of cheers, fans are letting out a collective groan. The former UFC fighter and current BKFC champion came in as the last-minute replacement for legendary heavyweight champion Mike Tyson.

‘Iron’ Mike had suffered an ulcer flare-up during a cross-country flight, which forced the Netflix exclusive bout to be rescheduled to November 15th. Meanwhile, Paul will face Perry at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida on the same date, July 20. However, the new price tag for people who wish to order the pay-per-view has now the public in an uproar.

TalkSport boxing editor Michael Benson hopped on X today to reveal that the DAZN pay-per-view for people in the UK will be £19.99, while the fans on the other side of the lake will have to cough up $64.99 for the same fight. The card features nine fights, which range from Paul vs. Perry to Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. vs. Uriah Hall, to Amanda Serrano vs Stevie Morgan, and many more. However, all that went out of the window when fans discovered the update on X. Unhappy about the prices, they quickly took to the comment section to express their disdain.

Fans promise to avoid the fight altogether

Jake Paul might not pull the kind of viewership Canelo Alvarez does, but his fights sure get the community buzzing. One user labeled the whole pricing “ridiculous”, wishing the people buying the PPV good luck. However, the Perry fight is indeed interesting, especially since the BKFC champion is on a winning streak.

Another user claimed the event will cost him nothing because he won’t watch it to begin with. Such responses can’t be blamed since they were promised Mike Tyson and they are getting Mike Perry.

Someone else didn’t mince their words and got to the point, claiming no one would be watching the fight. However, people often buy them up when the fight actually happens.

The next user predicted that the ticket sales would be low this time around. Yet since the prices in the UK are much lower, the fight may do well abroad.

One user expressed their anger with the high prices in the US, which is mainly because of the higher demand in the country.

With responses such as these, it’s safe to say that people don’t think the Jake Paul vs. Mike Perry fight is worth the high PPV prices that they are being asked to pay up. But what if Perry knocks out Paul? It’s a bit far-fetched, but still entirely plausible. Would you be willing to tune in to watch the sight?
