Ryan Garcia shares his thoughts
In an interview with EsNews, the reporter asked
Ryan Garcia about the pre-fight press conference between Haney and Kambosos Jr. in which the Australian accused Haney of being a ‘rat’ after allegedly texting Teofimo Lopez’s family issues to himHe says, “Yesterday Kambosos called Haney a rat for sending him text messages over Teofimo’s personal life. Did you follow any of that? What did you make of that?”
Garcia responded by saying, “Tactics, strategy if Haney doesn’t see that, he’s done. I think it’s a smart move by George to do that because it puts pressure on him especially because he doesn’t have his dad over there to like show him that support. If I was him I would make that move, maybe but then again I don’t know, because I feel like I can beat him without any mental game. I can beat him regardless. I don’t have to say anything.”

Garcia thinks that it was a smart move by Kambosos Jr. as it puts pressure on Haney and might even take him off his game against the Australian champion. Moreover, he feels that Haney needs to understand the mind games being played and if he doesn’t, he will lose against Kambosos Jr. Furthermore, Garcia thinks that he could beat Haney without playing any mental games.
Garcia also added that the mind games would not have worked on him saying, “If I was Haney, I would have been like quit talking I’ma fight you now b***h, I would’ve been on him but he not sharp like that.”
