Notably, Pacheco, at 21-0, is not the only boxer in the family. His younger brother, Federico Pacheco Jr., also took up boxing, most probably taking after him. The two also fought under the same card in July last year. Amusingly, Federico, 20, also holds an undefeated record as of now at 6-0. Meanwhile, Diego is surging up in the ranks and is eyeing a fight with Edgar Berlanga or any top 10 boxer in the super middleweight division to attract Canelo Alvarez‘s attention.
Not only is his zeal to make it big in the boxing world, but Pacheco also has a newfound motivation. He recently welcomed his daughter and added a new member to the family.
Diego Pacheco seeks motivation from his daughter
“My whole life has changed. I’m not doing this for me anymore. It’s for my daughter, my family. That’s what it’s all about now,” Pacheco declared before his fight with Shawn McCalman on April 6, which he won dominantly.

Before his daughter, boxing was all he thought about. But this has changed now. The Los Angeles native has now added motivation to commit to his goals. He continued, “Every decision I make, I think about her, my family, my girlfriend. I’m working like never before and that’s never going to happen to change. I have my goals that I am trying to reach in boxing and in life, so it’s added motivation.”
It remains to be seen when he’ll enter the square circle after he recovers from this tragic loss. We extend our sincere wishes to Diego Pacheco and his close ones in these trying times.
