REPORTS: Floyd Mayweather’s Exhibition Fight With Logan Paul No Longer Happening on February 20

Boxing fans eagerly awaited the epic encounter between Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul for a substantial time. But, it seems they’ll have to wait for some more time for both fighters to make the walk to the ring as the fight will no longer take place on February 20, 2021.

Logan Paul’s trainer, Kelvin Moore, posted the same on his social media, but deleted it later. As per an Irish journalist, Donagh Corby, the bout has been rescheduled for now and a new date will be revealed soon.

This fight already became the talk of the town since it got announced. This was because the best ever boxer of this century, ‘Money’ Mayweather was making a return. He last stepped in an exhibition fight in 2018, against kickboxing star, Tenshin Nasukawa and dispatched him in just one round.

His bout with Paul was set to be even more electrifying considering the duo’s magnetic profile.

Even though the YouTuber, Paul, is yet to score his first professional win in boxing, he has a considerable amount of fame and glory under his wings. Hence, this fight was set to eclipse Mayweather’s last exhibition outing.

Now, with this contest getting rescheduled, Paul’s greatest test to date seems in jeopardy.

Can Floyd Mayweather vs Logan Paul happen by mid-2021?

For now, there are no reasons for the rescheduling of this fight. However, the new date for this fight will only bode well for the fighters. Both the pugilists are in shape and working hard on their skill sets for the past couple of months, and new dates won’t hamper their current schedules.

It seems that this fight won’t go beyond June 2021, as there’ll be several boxing events lined up by then.

More than anyone else, the fans are keen to see their favorite boxers touch gloves against each other and settle it once for all. It will intrigue the boxing world to hear the new dates of this fight unveiled soon.
