Tyson was talking on his ‘Hotboxin with Mike Tyson‘ podcast, which was co-hosted by DJ Whoo Kid. Moreover, Tyson’s therapist, Sean McFarland was also present as a guest on the show. The trio was in a conversation about the uncertainty of life, and how wealth is deemed worthless once life is lost.
This was when Tyson pondered about his own transience. He said, “We are all going to die, one day, of course. When I look in the mirror, I see those little spots on my face and say, wow that’s my expiration date is coming close really soon.”
In response, McFarland mentioned that he does not worry about his impending death. Tyson nods in agreement by saying, “I don’t either.“
Meanwhile, McFarland also added that he wishes to die consciously.
Mike Tyson and his near-death experience
Mike Tyson once revealed that he almost died during one of his first psychedelic trips.
Tyson tried toad venom which is produced by the Sonoran Desert toad. The venom of the toad, which notably spends seven months in a year underground, is used to induce short psychoactive trips.

Talking about his first experience trying it, Tyson mentioned that he almost died. He further mentioned, “In my trips, I’ve seen that death is beautiful. Life and death both have to be beautiful, but death has a bad rep. The toad has taught me that I’m not going to be here forever.”
However, Tyson also added that he has tried the venom 52 times since the incident.
