Mike Tyson and Hulk Hogan were two of the most terrifying fighters on the planet in the 1990s. During their careers, they earned themselves a frightening reputation, courtesy of their heroics in the ring. Tyson was touted as the Baddest Man On The Planet while Hogan was making waves in the WWE.

However, in 1991, the two behemoths of their sports stared each other down in an iconic moment. The stare-down was lost in history until last year when the rare footage came to light, showing the fans exactly what happened.

Hulk Hogan and Mike Tyson have an intense stare-down

Tyson made a surprise appearance on the Arsenio Hall Show 3 days after his controversial victory over Razor Ruddock. However, Hogan was in the building scheduled to appear on the show.

This was Hogan’s second appearance on the show. In his previous appearance, The Hulkster made some interesting comments about fighting Tyson. He stated that if he were to fight Iron Mike in a boxing match, the only way it would be fair was if he were in handcuffs. “I’d get it on with a boxer like Tyson if they wanted to, but if they want to make the fight fair, they better put a pair of handcuffs on me,” he said.

He added that he was much more versatile than Tyson and could use other body parts to beat him. “Tyson’s got them gloves, you know, and I get all these other things. All other parts of the body to use. I can take him down putting my hammer off the wrist lock, the leg locks and I’ll tell you what, Once I get on top if he gets close enough to hit me I just reach out and grab him,” he added.

Hogan and Tyson were shown this previous interview, which resulted in an intense stare-down at the end of the show. While Hogan used his 6-foot-7 inch frame to pressure Tyson, Iron Mike used his aura to intimidate Hogan.

A no holds barred fight between the two has been speculated by fans forever. Hogan was a huge wrestler, weighing over 300 pounds of pure muscle. Moreover, he was an athletic wrestler able to perform at a high level for a long time.

However, a fight with Tyson would not be an easy matchup for anyone. Even in a no holds barred fight, Iron Mike will be hard to beat by an untrained fighter like Hogan. The former WWE champion might have the size advantage, but he does not have the necessary skills to face a professional boxer.
