On May 1, 2010, Floyd Mayweather went toe-to-toe against ‘Sugar’ Shane Mosley at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Mayweather is known for his trash-talking before the fight. Similarly, ahead of his fight against Mosley, Mayweather gave a savage reply to him.

Mosley claimed Mayweather said he was a great fighter and the five-division champion aspired to be like him. Mayweather hilariously replied, stating he didn’t even know who Mosley was. He said, “Shane, I barely know who the f*** you are. The f*** you mean I wanna be like you.”

It is no surprise to see Mayweather shut down his opponent even before stepping in the ring. Additionally, Mosley soon found out the difference of level between him and ‘TBE’.

What happened in the fight between Mayweather and Mosley?

Although the 50-0 fighter won the fight, Mosley almost knocked him out in the second round. Sugar caught him with a devastating combo of a left jab to the body and a right hook to the head, which rocked Mayweather. This round is said to be the hardest round of Mayweather’s career.
