Rapper Reveals Floyd Mayweather Gave Him Money After One Memorable Rap Battle

Floyd Mayweather’s affinity toward the art of rap is a well-recorded affair. Rapper Geechi Gotti recalled his experience. He spilled the beans about the patronage he received from the former welterweight champion.

Geechi appeared for an interaction on a talk show recently. On it, he spoke vividly about the support he received from Mayweather in one of his battles against Shotgun Suge. Without revealing the details of the money he received, the rapper kept it simple, discussing the occurrence. As he did that, he gave a glimpse of Mayweather that has hardly been seen in the public eye.

For the seventh edition of the rap battle, “Summer Madness”, for the Ultimate Rap League, Geechi went up against Newark-native, Suge. The Florida-based event that took its course in March 2019 has been uploaded on YouTube and has been a rager ever since. So much so, that it has amassed millions of views, with the comments section taking sides between Geechi and Suge.

Now, Geechi appearing on the ‘Last Second Sea’, recounted the time when ‘Pretty Boy’ dropped bucks on Geechi Gotti for his rap battle. The female host scorned the revelation. She remarked, “You annoying. You taking everybody money.”

Explaining the interaction, Geechi remarked, “Money Mayweather gave me the bread personally.” Gave the bread for what exactly? He explained, “That’s in Vegas. Summer madness, the forgotten one.” She confirmed, “That is definitely the forgotten one.” He then went on to add, “That’s how Me and Money Mayweather got connected. You know, that was just us doing our little thing afterwards… sipping at the bar, sh*t like that, we just chilling. It was nothing like too much, like so, I don’t even, I don’t even talk about it though. You know what I am saying. You know, you have to be there to know how me and Money Mayweather was doing our thing after the battle… Shout out, money team baby.”  

Imagine being one of the limited people in the world to receive money directly from Floyd Mayweather. Well, that’s where Geechi Gotti found himself. He remains on the precipice of greatness in his rap career. Amongst them, one significant moment further remains central to his memory and legacy, the time when Floyd Mayweather gave him “the bread personally.”
