Racists Who Dragged Autistic Teen in NYC Viral Video Draws Undefeated World Champion’s Wrath

Racism is a problem that has plagued the world for quite a long time. Even though there have been many efforts to abolish it, human society has always failed to remove it completely from this world. Moreover, a recent example shows how racism can quickly escalate into physical assault and cause both physical and mental harm to the victim whose life will never be the same.

This was exactly what happened with a 15-year-old autistic African American child who was brutally attacked in a New York Subway. In addition, the attackers also tormented the child with racial slurs as they paraded him through the station. The video has gone viral on social media with many coming out against this heartless display of barbarianism.

Video of a teenager being assaulted by racists takes the internet by storm

The video was shared by FightHype where we can see the teen being pulled by another teenager. The Autistic child who was trying to board the train was then immediately pulled by the female teenager who yelled ‘Walk’ while manhandling the child. This was not all as the perpetrators around the incident also yelled racial slurs at the victim.

Another thing that was surprising was that none of the adults around the station seemed to take any action for this incident. According to the NY Post, although a complaint has been registered by the victim, their names are still unknown. Moreover, the reason for this attack is also unknown with the victim claiming he did not have any knowledge as to why he was attacked. However, undisputed middleweight champion Claressa Shields who has been an advocate for social justice was not happy with this incident as she called out this behavior online.

The GWOAT took to Twitter and shared the video. She also had a few things to say about the incident. Shields was surprised that no one else on the station did anything to stop the injustice going on.

Moreover, she mocked New York City citizens for not standing up and stopping something wrong from happening. Given that Shields is African-American herself, this incident must have hit her especially hard.

“All these adults just watched?… in NEw York City! What in the hell!” she wrote.

This was certainly a hard sight to watch at a time when polarization has become more ingrained than ever. However, people need to learn from this incident and prevent such things from happening if we want to progress as a society.
