Conor Benn and Chris Eubank Jr are on the verge of finalizing an agreement for their much-anticipated all-British super fight scheduled for early 2024. The discussions are reportedly in their advanced stages, paving the way for a 12-round Middleweight showdown set to headline a DAZN pay-per-view event on February 3 at the iconic Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.

During their first attempt to finalize a fight, Conor Benn emphasized on how he desires to be the first man to knock out Chris Eubank Jr. However, his dream was snatched by Liam Smith, as Eubank Jr was dropped in the fourth round of the fight against him. But Benn still wants to prove his might against Eubank Jr, and has uploaded a sparring footage, displaying his impeccable prowess.

Benn shared a video on his Instagram showcasing a sparring session where he faced off against a visibly larger opponent. Renowned for his impressive head movement, ‘The Destroyer’ adeptly evaded four or five shots before retaliating with a well-placed, slow jab that appeared to significantly affect his sparring partner. Not opting for a power-loaded punch, Benn swiftly followed up with a 1-2 combination before the clip concluded.

One of the fans stated how his sparring partner would be somebody with 2-39 career record.

Another fan said something along similar lines, that it would have been some amateur boxer from Brighton.

One fan talked about how the fight between Benn and Eubank Jr hasn’t been signed yet. So they do not see it happening anytime soon.

A fan mentioned that they heard somewhere, that the sparring partner is Ronnie Pickering. However, the authenticity of this claim cannot really be substantiated.

An X user assumed that this must be a regular occurrence in the training camp of Conor Benn.

So, the fans weren’t impressed by the sparring video of ‘The Destroyer’. Although the fight hasn’t been officially finalized, Benn has already confirmed the marquee bout from his end.

As Conor Benn and Chris Eubank Jr edge closer to finalizing a bout in early 2024, Benn has declared his intention to retire Eubank Jr. This anticipated matchup comes more than a year after their initial scheduled meeting at the 02 Arena, which was ultimately canceled during fight week due to Benn’s failure of two drug tests. The renewed commitment from both fighters sets the stage for a showdown that promises to be a defining moment in their rivalry.

Having returned to the ring with a victorious performance against Rodolfo Orozco in Florida last September, Conor Benn is now directing his focus towards securing a match with Chris Eubank Jr. Following the low-key comeback, the original 157lbs catchweight contest is expected to see Benn moving up to 160lbs this time around. Confirming the readiness for the showdown, Benn stated to Matchroom Boxing, “It’s agreed my end, we’re ready to go.
