In a sport like boxing, devastating punches are commonplace! Boxers hone their punching skills in the gym for years, if not decades, to acquire the power to knock out their opponents. Despite that fact, some people often underestimate these athletes, whether due to ignorance or overconfidence. In a similar turn of events, a guy challenged his amateur boxer buddy to punch him in the face, underestimating the power behind the punches.
Boxing fans might have seen such shots in the square ring between two professionally trained boxers, but none quite as head-scratching as this one. Recently, Boxing Kingdom shared a clip on X (formerly Twitter) where the previously mentioned incident happened. The caption read, “Guy thinks he can take his friend’s power and asks to hit him. The friend is an amateur boxer.” Spoiler alert – it did not end well!

Ngl the woman laughing in the background is fucked. That’s a pretty severe concussion to one of your friends, that’s not a joke.

Someone else condemned the amateur boxer for even accepting the challenge, suggesting that he did not need to punch his friend to prove his power.
As a boxer you should know better
Especially if it's your friend. If you know you got hands, then you know.
You don't need to KO this bum to prove it
To all my fellow boxers out there, stay disciplined, realize your hands are trained weapons. They're not toys
So don't play— daquan bollull (@RexSpike2) November 8, 2023
The next user highlighted the fact that taking a punch from a regular Joe is way different than taking a punch from a trained boxer.
Big difference between taking a punch and taking a trained punch 😵💫🥊

Someone else asserted the punch wasn’t too hard but landed on the correct spot.
Wasn’t a hard punch but it was on the money spot
