A few months ago, British boxing ace Anthony Joshua was seen fighting Oleksandr Usyk in their much-anticipated rematch. The latter won the first fight, and the Ukrainian boxer also prevailed in the rematch. Joshua would’ve been free to challenge Tyson Fury for the undisputed heavyweight championship if he would have defeated Usyk in the rematch. But right now, he’s seeking another battle that could happen in 2023.

Anthony Joshua lost his cool and was spotted throwing the belts in the ring after losing his rematch with Oleksandr Usyk. On the other hand, Deontay Wilder just made a comeback in the ring, defeating Robert Helenius via first-round knockout. Since then, fans have been anticipating a fight between Joshua(24-3-0) and Wilder(43-2-1).

They are both considered to be among the best heavyweight fighters of our generation, and it is projected that they will face off soon. Moreover, AJ recently made a revelation regarding the fight that makes it appear like it is getting closer to its fruition.

Anthony Joshua reveals a potential venue for his fight with Deontay Wilder

AJ just traveled to Abu Dhabi to attend an event. Since his defeat by Usyk, he has not engaged the media all that much. His gestures following the fight made it abundantly clear that he was deeply saddened by his defeat. But the former champ now seems ready to take on the world again.

The Briton was in a conversation with ‘SportingNews’, where he was quizzed about Wilder’s recent knockout victory, and AJ appreciated him by saying, “unbelievable”. Following that, he was asked whether his anticipated bout with Wilder will happen or not, and he instantly replied, “It will, it will.”

When the interviewer asked whether it will happen next year, Joshua said, “Probably. We might be back in Abu Dhabi.”

Joshua and ‘The Bronze Bomber’ are in the prime of their careers, and fans expect them to showcase more of their talents inside the ring. In addition, Wilder revealed previously that he has around three years left in his boxing career. So there is a high probability that the two might lock horns soon.
