Former WBC heavyweight titleholder, Deontay Wilder, has been on a fight quest after making an explosive comeback with a sensational performance against Robert Helenius. Meanwhile, there have been talks that he might face Tyson Fury in a rematch. However, according to Matchroom Boxing chairman, Eddie Hearn, Wilder might just be the perfect opponent for Anthony Joshua.
Shelly Finkel, who promotes Wilder, was recently on an interview with World Boxing News. In conversation, he opened up about eyeing a potential Wilder vs Joshua fight. Finlke said, “Deontay is willing to fight Anthony Joshua next. We would take that fight in the UK or the Middle East, and we will do it next. We have the WBC eliminator with Ruiz. And we will do that, but we want the Joshua fight.”

Moreover, he further added, “At the moment, in AJ’s plans, he’s looking to fight late March, we’re locking that in. Could that be Wilder? Possibly.”
Hearn also mentioned Joshua and himself are open to discussions.
