Regis Prograis managed to successfully defend his newly earned World Super Lightweight champion title against Danielito Zorrilla last Saturday. The crowd of 6,319 chaired for the champion who defended his title for the first time with a split decision victory at New Orleans. However, the victor himself appears to be unsatisfied with the way things turned out.
The fight turned out to be a rather lackluster affair, with both fighters appearing to be cautiously dancing around the ring. This even led the audience to boo the fighters during the later rounds. It seemed that the audience didn’t get the slugfest they were hoping for. Even Prograis acknowledged his shortcomings during the fight which received a compliment from Amanda Serrano.
