De La Hoya recently celebrated his 50th birthday. And it should be said that ‘The Golden Boy’ does not disappoint when it comes to throwing a party.

De La Hoya went all out at his recent birthday party in Mexico. In a video uploaded by ES NEWS, it is seen that he had a beachside party, with a choice selection of food and beverages, complete with a Mariachi band. Moreover, he also had a fireworks display for his birthday.

De La Hoya also posted an image donning nothing but a boxing belt. Moreover, he opened up about turning 50 saying, “Golden at 50…no longer a boy. I’ve spent my entire life searching for happiness. But today, on my 50th birthday, I can finally say that I’ve found it. I couldn’t feel any prouder of who am I and where I’m at in life.” He also added that he was becoming happier as he got older.

Oscar De La Hoya intrigues fans with a pre-birthday question

It should be mentioned that De La Hoya has been preparing for his 50th birthday for a considerable amount of time. In fact, he even took to social media to ask his fans a rather interesting question.

In a tweet, he asked for suggestions to lean out quickly. And also mentioned that he wishes to wear a thong for his 50th birthday. Meanwhile, the comments were chock full of hilarious suggestions from detoxes to illegal drug usage.
