With influencers crossing over from the digital space to the squared circle, a new dawn has emerged in the boxing world. As a result, boxing has gone through a drastic change in the last few years, and at its helm are KSI and the Paul brothers, Logan and Jake. The trio is calling shots in combat sports and has added another layer of excitement and flair. However, it also poses an amusing question: who walks away with the title of the better boxer when the jury is out on the three?

KSI: boxing career and record

KSI is the traditional influencer-turned-boxer who set in motion the wheels that made influencing boxing a surging phenomenon. The British star holds a professional record of 4-0-1. He first stepped into the ring in 2018 when he faced Joe Weller in an amateur fight. After collecting a KO win, he fought two thrilling fights with Logan Paul. While the first, another amateur bout, ended in a draw, he bagged the second one with a split-decision victory.

The latter also marked his pro debut, and the Brit influencer has since collected wins against Swarmz, Luis Alcaraz Pineda, and FaZe Temperrr, all coming in with a spectacular KO manner. His outing against Joe Fournier in May turned controversial when his KO was overturned to a no-contest due to an accidental elbow strike.

The 30-year-old YouTuber, on a mission to cement his legacy, will now face Tommy Fury on Prime Card on October 14. A win against the established and proper boxer might tilt the debate in his favor. In addition, a win might also set him on a collision course against Jake Paul, a fight he has been chasing for over a year now.

Jake Paul: boxing career and record

After making a name as a YouTuber, Paul is slowly shaping his career as a professional fighter. His resume boasts a pro record of 7-1. Additionally, his victim list includes names such as Nate Diaz, Tyron Woodly, and Anderson Silva. ‘The Problem Child’ harbors the intention of becoming a world champion one day. But those plans were derailed when his skills were tested against Tommy Fury.

While few have hotly debated the matchmaking, Paul has undoubtedly established himself as a force to be reckoned with. Paul has seized eyeballs with his dedication and hard work, which even Joe Rogan recognizes. “He looks like a real boxer. He doesn’t look like a guy who’s attempting boxing. That’s the difference—the feints, the foot movement, the way he lands shots. He fights like a boxer,” Rogan once declared on his popular podcast.

However, it is one thing to emulate a real boxer and the other to be a real boxer. The American fighter is on a quest to erase that distinction. But he might need to pick someone besides an MMA fighter in his twilight days.

Logan Paul: boxing career and record

The elder of the Paul brothers has the thinnest of resumes when it comes to the three. While his wrestling acrobats are second to none, he has yet to register a win in his three-fight-long career. Moreover, the WWE star has only fought two opponents in the ring: KSI and Floyd Mayweather Jr. However, he has only fought once under professional rules, in his rematch against KSI, and he has a pro record of 0-1.

The 28-year-old wrestler is tall, has the reach, and must have learned a thing or two after his bout with ‘TBE’, and it’ll be on display when he fights Dillon Danis next. It remains to be seen whether he finally adds a win to his boxing record. Hence, his scattered boxing career and a not-so-great win-devoid resume make it a two-way contest between KSI and his younger brother for the tussle of the better boxer.

Logan Paul, Jake Paul, KSI: Best boxer among three

Is it a spotless record and the knack of KOs that separates the two? Or does a more robust resume with a minor bump prevail? While KSI ticks all the boxes, his list of opponents leaves a lot to be desired. KSI scores high when you imagine an entertainment-packed boxer. But he drops points when it comes to grading his opponents.

Meanwhile, Jake Paul has made sure he wins against the established fighters, albeit MMA ones with little to no boxing experience. But big names count. He sure took a beating when he fought Tommy Fury, but that didn’t pull breaks on his aspirations. Therefore, he holds the claim of being a better boxer, subject to the possibility of KSI flatlining Tommy Fury.
