The fanbase is divided over the recent announcement with some impressed and in agreement with the cohort appointed while others feel there is a chance that the officials are skewed toward a specific fighter.
Pointing out the controversial fights that Tim Cheatham and David Sutherland have presided over, Cuddly Teddy Bear referred to the highly controversial bout between Devin Haney and Vasilly Lomachenko. The two scored in favour of Haney while Lomachenko reportedly landed 14 more punches than his opponent.

Hamed thinks that Harvey Dock is a good choice for the role of referee. However, he is not in favor of Sutherland and Cheatham.

Jeffrey Smith predicted the outcome of the matchup based on the judges’ lineup.
Cheatham has already got his score card filled out for Spence. David Sutherland will score the fight 114-114. Steve Weisfeld will have it 116-112. Crawford will win the fight UD but Spence will win a majority decision.

As the purse for the fights seems massive, the officials too will be receiving a handsome payout. Referee, Harvey Dock will get $4000 while all three judges will be paid $3000 each.
It is only on the 29th will we know if fans’ worst fears will come true. Will a match that could swing either way be erroneously scored due to the judges’ biases? Or will it be one of those matches that will end up in a draw? The nail-biting anticipation has put fans in a state of frenzy. And justifiably so. At the end of that night, we will know who is the best fighter on the planet – Errol Spence Jr. or Terence Crawford.
