Despite losing the UFC 257 headliner against Dustin Poirier, Conor McGregor still has a lucrative opportunity of fighting Manny Pacquiao in a boxing clash. However, he might not have a lot of believers in the corner.
McGregor lost his maiden boxing bout against Floyd Mayweather in 2017 and heavyweight pugilist, Chris Arreola, envisions a similar outcome against Manny Pacquiao. Moreover, Arreola claims to see an even deadlier display from ‘Pac-Man’.
‘The Nightmare’ connected with ES News from his gym to reflect an opinion on the crossover showdown. He said, “I think Pacquiao will take him (Conor McGregor) off a lot faster. I personally feel that Pacquiao will take him more serious. Pacquiao really wants to take him out just to prove a point.”

Both McGregor and Pacquiao reside under the same management. So, a bout between them will not feature the traditional contractual turmoils that accompany most super fights. Meanwhile, they have also desired to lock horns. Hence, it’s safe to envision them against each other in the coming days.
However, McGregor’s grand return did not get off to a good start, and he needs to find some clarity about his MMA future before making the shift from the cage to the ring.

When can Conor McGregor and Manny Pacquiao fight?
Manny Pacquiao, the Senator of the Philippines, can return to action soon. After a dominant 2019 with 2 victories, ‘Pac-Man’ hasn’t appeared in the ring. However, he has teased his return and it can happen this year.
That said, Conor McGregor can turn his attention to the boxing world for some time again. Although YouTubers like Jake Paul are calling him out, the Irishman can bag a serious challenge by fighting Pacquiao. The Filipino veteran is one of the greatest boxers ever. Hence, a fight against him will enrich McGregor’s legacy and provide him with a lucrative paycheck.

Fans will expect all parties involved to ensure that this fight goes ahead before a live audience. Hence, it may not take place anytime soon. This will bode well for both Pacquiao and Mayweather as the former needs to defend his WBA belt while the latter needs to recover from the beating he took at UFC 257 at the hands of Dustin Poirier.
