Ryan Garcia, or more accurately, his tweets have proven to be highly unreliable! Whether it’s him trolling his followers or trolling other celebrities on the platform, fans have learned to take it with a pinch of salt. So, when he announced the saddening news about Lisa Garcia, his mother’s cancer diagnosis, understandably, many didn’t take him seriously.

However, among the few who did trust Garcia’s shock tweet about his mother’s cancer diagnosis, 1994 Oscar nominee Rosie Perez was at the top. Reacting to the tweet from Garcia a couple of hours ago, the Brooklyn-born actress expressed her remorse for the situation. What did she say?

More than just a mother, Lisa Garcia has been a significant part of Garcia’s boxing career, offering both logistical and moral support to the 25-year-old puncher from Victorville. So, addressing the sad news, Ryan wrote, “Please send prayers to my mom. She has cancer And they say she can go any day”.

In a later tweet, he even suggested if anything happens to his mother, he might not be able to survive the ordeal himself. While the specifics of Lisa’s diagnosis are currently unknown, Garcia’s tweets were enough to elicit a genuinely remorseful response from the Oscar-nominated actress.

Responding to Garcia’s tweet, Perez wrote, “Nooo! I’m so sorry to hear this! Prayers!!” Regardless, before this latest storm in his life, Ryan Garcia has been struggling with his positive doping test results from the Devin Haney fight. However, a report provided by the Victorville native of late, the source of his adverse findings, came from a couple of supplements he took in the lead-up to the fight. And VADA has officially responded to the news reports on social media.

VADA says boxers are responsible for what they take

On May 1, VADA originally revealed Garcia’s positive PED results, kick-starting the entire ordeal! While Garcia has always maintained his innocence, even his B-Sample had come back positive for the same substance. Since then, the Victorville native has produced a hair sample test, which produced negative results for the PED.

However, in the latest update, a test report provided by Garcia showed the PED in his system came from supplements raspberry-lemonade flavored NutraBio SuperCarb and Body Health strawberry-flavored amino-acid blend. So, responding to the development, VADA released an official statement on social media.

In a tweet dated May 31, VADA wrote, “Reminder to fighters regarding supplements. You are responsible for anything you take. Whether or not supplements are listed on doping control forms, anti-doping organizations do not approve supplements. It’s why VADA fighters are provided the warning statement & other resources.”

With the latest development in Ryan Garcia’s life, things don’t seem to be going well for the Victorville native. Meanwhile, people like Rosie Perez have shown their support for the 25-year-old boxer. Do you have anything for Garcia in the wake of the saddening news?
