Adrien Broner is a household name in the boxing world. The former four-division world champion is famous for his explosive performance inside the ring and his calm and tranquil persona outside. Recently, Broner parted ways with his promotions BLK prime and is ready to be a free agent. Moreover, Broner’s move might not favor BLK. On the other hand, it seems like Oscar de la Hoya was waiting for this day to come. The golden promoter made an offer to the former champ that could be a defining change for the boxer’s career and the sport.

Recently, Oscar de la Hoya took to Twitter to show his interest in becoming the promoter for one of the world’s most popular and accomplished boxers.

A new opportunity is knocking on the door

Adrien Broner took to Instagram to announce his split from his then promotions, BLK prime. The news came at a time when Broner was scheduled to fight Michael Williams Jr, but Williams Jr had to pull out from the fight due to a jaw injury. The last three fights Broner was scheduled for never saw the ring because of one reason or the other.

The news of Broner splitting from BLK shocked the boxing world, and Golden Boy Promotions founder Oscar De La Hoya looks forward to making the best out of the news. The American promoter, once a boxer himself, took to Twitter to offer to promote ‘The Problem.’ La Hoya tweeted and showed his interest in promoting the 33-year-old former champion.

If one tweet was not enough, La Hoya tweeted again, giving a taste of his aspirations for Broner. La Hoya seems to have big plans for Broner if he chooses to join hands with the promoter. La Hoya wrote how he would like to show the world that Adrien Broner is the ‘American Dream.’

Why did Adrien Broner part ways with BKL Prime?

Broner took to Instagram and wrote, “Good afternoon, yall. It’s a great Sunday. I’m just going to come out and let everybody know. Me and BLK Prime have decided to part ways, “Broner has made his intentions clear for his career now and is keen on ending his boxing journey on the top.”  The boxer last fought in 2021 and has been eager to return to the ring since then. Broner also explained that there is not between him and BKL. And it’s just that BKL couldn’t offer him what he wanted in his career right now.

The 33-year-old is yet to reply to the offer made by La Hoya, and it would be interesting to see what the boxer has to say about the offer made by Golden Boy promotions.
