Recently, Oscar De La Hoya was in the young gun’s fight camp, wherein he sparred Alexis Espino, a super-middleweight contender. The six-weight world champion keenly watched his sparring session and shared his notions on the same to ES News.

Ortiz Jr. transitioned to the welterweight roster in 2019 and continued his undefeated reign in this division as well.
He fought thrice in 2019 and once last year, winning all via T/KO. He is a super active fighter who takes on the genuine challenges on his way. Even in this sparring video, the 22-year-old competed against Alexis Espino, who fights notches above him. Despite this, he landed power-packed punches on Espino with swift footwork and movements.

Ortiz debuted in 2016, and in no time he improved his resume to 16 wins. He has maintained a track record of finishing all the opponents by T/KO and is yet to go beyond the seventh round as a professional. The young gun exhibits tremendous power and employs his vast skill sets in the squared circle.
Ever since his move to the welterweight, he looked even stronger as he aims to reach the pinnacle of this division. He is currently unaligned with any opponent, but he’s expected to storm inside the ring by June-2021.
