But, he delved a bit into his personal life and revealed how his life has improved over the years. He was candid about how his current partner holds credit for the same. He recently made a bold claim years after his retirement.

As the interview was about to start, La Hoya received a call from Sonders. Just as the call ended, the interviewer sought insight from the promoter about his relationship. Talking about the relationship and how it has helped him, Oscar said, “I finally feel loved. I’ve been through a lot, man. And it’s not easy to survive this world. It’s not easy to survive what I’ve been through since I was six years old.” He further made it clear that it’s not easy to be on top of the world while going through a lot in your life.

Oscar De La Hoya reflected on how things began changing since the day Sonders entered his life and how everything is going back to the “roots.” La Hoya made it known that he feels at peace with himself. He even called Sonders his “best friend” and expressed happiness over being with her every day.
