Jake Paul is not just another name in the world of boxing anymore. He has high ambitions and is not shy about proclaiming them out loud. News of Jake Paul’s upcoming fight has emerged, with the “Problem Child” slated to participate in the co-main event alongside female boxing sensation Amanda Serrano in March. His opponent for the return to action will be the experienced 17-2 fight veteran, Ryan Bourland. As he inches closer to his world title, there is a new target that he wants to obliterate next.

Big claims like calling himself the best in the world are not new for Jake Paul. Suffering his only loss against Tommy Fury, claims do warrant some credibility. However, when he specifies, calling himself the ‘best cruiserweight’ on the planet. Many set their gaze upon him questionably. To become the best cruiserweight, he would have to beat Jai Opetaia. When asked about his standing in comparison to the Australian Opetaia, Paul made a statement claiming, “I’m the best in the world.” That was enough fuel for fans to tear into the Problem Child.

Paul has made a commitment to surpass Jai Opetaia and become recognized as the top cruiserweight boxer globally in an interview with Fox Sports Australia. Paul has revealed that he wants to conquer Opetaia in the span of the next two years. But are his claims of being the best cruiserweight really valid? He believes that each fighter has a right to his own beliefs. But whether his beliefs are taken well by the fans or not is another question. A tweet was shared by IFLTV, highlighting Paul’s quote about being the best. They also asked who would win in a potential Paul vs Opetaia match. Fans found the comment to be a bit of an overreach and let it know in the comments section of the tweet.

One fan predicted a knockout. “Hahaha. Opetaia would KO him, early,” he said.

“Fight Jai Opetaia then let’s see how that’ll go,” said another fan asking him to prove his words right.

“Didn’t he lose to Tommy Fury? I’m confused,” said another fan bringing up his loss to Fury last year.

Another accused Paul of click-baiting. “Have people not realised that this is how he gets peple to react to him… he doesn’t believe what he says, lol, he’s just baiting you all,” he said.

“Why even give him the time of day? Just ignore these clowns,” said another fan whose suggestion was to simply ignore Paul’s threats.
