Ever since Terence Crawford defeated Errol Spence Jr., everyone’s wondering what would be his next challenge. Where a rematch with Spence is still on the verge of confirmation, several other potential matchups are in line. While some want Bud to fight Canelo Alvarez, others paired him up with the Charlo Twins. Furthermore, Crawford has shown keen interest in all these matchups.

Recently, Shane Mosley, the legendary boxer, has expressed his views on Bud’s upcoming challenge. In a recent interview with Fight HypeMosley told that Crawford should no longer stay at 147 weight division. According to him, Bud should aim for either 154 or 160 lbs. Additionally, this suggestion stems from Mosley’s opinion on Bud fighting Jermell Charlo and Jermall Charlo. But what does this mean for Crawford’s future, and how does it relate to the Charlo twins?

Terence Crawford delivered a masterclass performance against Errol Spence Jr. He is now the undisputed welterweight champion. Furthermore, endorsements from legends like Mosley add to the excitement.

When the interviewer asked Mosley, “Do you think Crawford should go up to 150?” Mosley quickly responded, “Of course, yes. Yes, Crawford should definitely go up. Cause I don’t think he should fight 147 anymore. 154 or even 160 too today. He’s big enough to do that… I definitely would love to see him do that.”

Indeed, Mosley’s insights add a layer of anticipation to the boxing landscape. Moreover, with his current winning streak, there’s no doubt that Crawford could do wonders in weight categories of 154 or 160. Additionally, Crawford himself admitted that he needs to win a fight against Jermell Charlo to bench his legacy in boxing.

Although he doesn’t like the brothers, he would want the fight to happen. In an interview with the Boxing Social, Bud said,  “I don’t like Jermell, for the simple fact that I think he is a fake individual… I was cool with Jermell and Jermall, and their older brother, prior to me moving up in weight.”

However, a renowned champion in boxing has no doubt that Jermell Charlo will defeat Crawford.

Which champion thinks Jermell Charlo will defeat Bud?

Regis Prograis, the super lightweight champion, thinks that Bud will indeed lose to Jermell Charlo. Furthermore, he backed Charlo and motivated his friend Spence, who lost against Bud.

In a recent interview with Fight Hype, he said, “You can measure their skill, you can measure their quickness and speed, what you can’t measure is their hunger and how much fight they have in them, nobody can measure that – and Jermell is an angry a** f**king dude. Jermell is really angry, he has a lot of fight in…”

Prograis further added saying, “Jermell is naturally bigger and he hits really hard. If they were the same weight, I’d give the skill advantage to Crawford, but Mell saw what he did to his friend (Spence) so it’ll be added fire for him, he’s going to want to beat this dude. So I would still have Jermell.”
