Teofimo Lopez could not be more excited to be feuding not just one but two parties now. Lopez expressed interest in facing Terence Crawford after going back and forth with him about the kind of opponents he fights. Moreover, with only a seven-pound difference between them, a feasible match could be arranged, provided Crawford doesn’t decide to move up to the super welterweight division, as has been hinted at recently. Now, there is another player in the game.

Bill Haney has interjected to call out Lopez for aiming at something much out of his reach but not before offering him a fight against his son, Devin Haney. Is Teofimo Lopez willing to entertain Haney’s proposal?

After the fight negotiations with Ryan Garcia fell apart, the Haneys have been on the lookout for their next prey. Lopez, interestingly, caught their attention. “Listen, act like you got some sense and we can make Haney vs Lopez 140 pound unification,” said Bill Haney in an Instagram story that he posted. “Stop talking about Bud Crawford. You don’t deserve Bud Crawford,” he said.

Would you fathom ‘The Takeover’ sitting silently post this? This provocation only made him more excited for the possible fights lining up. Lopez is set to face Jamaine Ortiz in his upcoming bout, and Crawford has advised his rival to concentrate on the upcoming challenge rather than looking ahead. But after the Haneys have expressed their willingness, Lopez is just as fired up.

Taking to X, he said, “The Haney’s are now on the radar! It’s about damn time. One fight at a time baby! One fight at a time. DAMN IT FEELS GREAT TO BE BACK”. However, there is another boxer Lopez is currently beefing, not in the ring but outside of it.

Is George Kambosos not over his win?

Not so long ago, Teofimo Lopez was confronted by a vociferous verbal adversary in the Australian pugilist, George Kambosos. Kambosos is known for his provocative comments, exemplified by his “coke head” jab at Lopez Sr. This blend of swagger and personal jabs has left Lopez visibly frustrated. In a recent interview, Lopez bluntly urged Kambosos to cease relentlessly talking about the win he had over him, revealing a lingering bitterness from the defeat.

“For someone that beat me, why you still mentioning me? We tried to make a rematch, your team said no,” said Lopez. His loss to Kambosos wasn’t just any defeat; it was a seismic upset that reverberated through the boxing world. Now, Lopez accuses Kambosos of dwelling on the past, particularly targeting his father with false allegations.
