Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. is known for his tough stance inside the ring. However, when it comes to his personal life, he takes a much softer approach. The former five-division champion is a father to four children and loves them more than anything in this world. This was proved after he surprisingly supported his daughter following her pregnancy.
In January 2021, Mayweather became a grandfather when his daughter Iyanna gave birth to a baby boy with NBA YoungBoy. The news was met with mixed reactions, as NBA Youngboy has had a troubled past. However, ‘Money’ Mayweather didn’t let that affect his relationship with his daughter or his grandson. Moreover, he even came out and opened up about his daughter’s relationship with NBA YoungBoy and the role he will play.

Floyd Mayweather reveals how he dealt with his daughter’s pregnancy
In an interview with Hollywood Unlocked, the undefeated boxer revealed that he only wanted what was best for his daughter. However, he tries not to get too involved with her decisions claiming that once she was out of his home, it’s up to her and her partner to make their own decisions and deal with the consequences.
“I just want the best for my daughter. If that makes her happy, me and her mother are happy. But what I try to do is not get in her personal business, because once she’s no longer under my roof, it’s between her and her better half,” he said.
Mayweather’s approach to his daughter’s relationship with NBA YoungBoy shows his belief in letting his children make their own choices. While he may not always agree with their decisions, he trusts that they will learn from their mistakes and grow as individuals.
