One aspect of his professional life must have surprised even Conor Benn. The breakneck speed at which he is receiving the call-outs. Did he imagine he would become such a hot property in the United States? No sooner had the world become aware of his heart-to-heart with Abdul Wahid (formerly Gervonta Davis), came another revelation.

Last week, ‘The Destroyer’ defeated Peter Dobson by a unanimous decision. Since he doesn’t have the license to fight back home, he has been settling his business in the U.S. The first fight, ever since issues culminating in failure to clear a few drug tests emerged, occurred last year on September 23. He defeated Rodolfo Orozco at the Caribe Royale in Orlando, Florida. The latest noise for a fight isn’t something new. Nevertheless, the Briton seems to have followed ‘Tank’s playbook in saving a screenshot. Record-keeping à la boxing style.

Yesterday, boxing enthusiasts saw the message Conor Benn’s promoter Eddie Hearn shared with Abdul Wahid (formerly Gervonta Davis). It followed the verbal sparring that commenced when the British boxer listed out a few boxers he would love taking on. A swift riposte from the WBA lightweight champion brought forth a sequence of exchanges that led Benn to rope in Hearn.

@EddieHearn  drop the munchkin a DM and get this fight made NEXT im sure he’ll screenshot the conversation anyway, so we will see who’s full of s**t. See you soon.” Conor Benn said.

With this, he outlined his goals of facing Davis next and claiming bragging rights once and for all. Whether the fight gets made official depends on the negotiations between both parties. Although with Eddie Hearn potentially taking an active role, an efficient means to resolve the conflict could come to fruition if both boxers are willing to act on their words.

Towards the end, the lightweight champion confirmed receiving the direct message from the Matchroom boss. He shared the screenshot through his Instagram story.

Now, making the plot more intriguing, it seems like Adrien Broner wants to jump into the fray. It was ‘The Destroyer’s turn to share a conversation’s screenshot through his Instagram story. It showed ‘About Billions’ checking for a fight: “Let’s make the fight!” Sometime later, Benn responded, “On smoke whenever you want it.

After passing over a few slides more, the rest of the conversation becomes apparent. To Adrien Broner’s, “I will fight you next bro, your easy work bro,” Conor Benn replied, “I ain’t your bro. We tried making the fight, but you didn’t put down the bottle. Don’t @ me unless your serious, because we can make it whenever you want.” The banter continues.

From what ‘The Destroyer’ said, a few fans might remember that back in early 2022, he had called out Adrien Broner for a fight. However, beyond a few claims, the talks for a fight never took off.

A fight between the two still makes sense. Both are long-time welterweights. Even from the standpoint of their fighting styles, their matchup sounds excellent. Given the solid chin that he comes with, About Billion’s will present a taut counter to Conor Benn’s aggressive close-in move. On the other hand, a fight with ‘Tank’ sounds as exciting as it should. However, either of the boxers might have to make weight adjustments. Otherwise, both may have to agree to a catchweight fight.
