Is the Paris 2024 Olympics' opening ceremony too demonic, or are Garcia and Paul's ex-trainer overreacting?

The controversial depiction of “The Last Supper” at the Paris Olympics’ opening ceremony was the last straw for Ryan Garcia as he went on a long anti-LGBTQ tirade on X. Garcia, a devout Christian, found an act in the opening ceremony featuring half-naked drag queens parodying the iconic painting by Leonardo da Vinci extremely offensive. The hyper-sexualized act featured eighteen performers dressed in drag clothes posing behind a long table with the Seine River and Eiffel Tower serving as the backdrop.

To make matters worse, a serving tray was placed on the table which had a scantily clad man painted fully blue, with vines covering his private parts. Additionally, a child was also seen joining in during the performance. The supposedly comical exaggeration of Jesus Christ’s final meal with his disciples before the crucifixion missed the mark completely as it hurt the sentiments of many people, mostly Christians, including Ryan Garcia. Taking to Instagram, Gracia wrote, “You can’t disrespect religion in front of millions. This ain’t right. No one watch.”

Continuing on his rant, Garcia further wrote on X, “So trans community you can do whatever you want disrespect show your p*nises out and walk around like your s–t don’t stink but I fight back and everyone’s scared. F*ck you. Burn in hell. You woke up a different animal.” Enraged by the controversial act during the Olympics’ inaugural ceremony, Garcia further stated in another post, “Unfollow me if you gay or trans or supporting that demonic cult.

Garcia’s incendiary posts on X enraged the gay and trans community who came after him in the comment section of his social media accounts. However, the backlash seemed to not affect him as he fired back again with another explosive rant. Again, Garcia pleaded with his fans to boycott the Paris Olympics. “Hey, I am going to be real. What they did at the Olympics, they all need to be canceled. You guys think this is a joke, this ain’t a joke. Christians stand up. Boycott the Olympics. Once you disrespect Jesus in front of billions of people it’s finished. You guys are done,” Garcia ranted.

Meanwhile, the backlash on social media forced the International Olympic Committee to remove the contentious opening ceremony act from YouTube. The organization is also facing a lot of heat for showcasing the act of Queen Marie Antoinette’s beheading. What’s more, Jake Paul’s ex-trainer, BJ Flores, also joined in the chorus of disgruntled fans as they rallied behind Garcia’s call to boycott the Olympics.

Ryan Garcia back with another crusade!

One fan commented that he fully backed Ryan Garcia’s plea to boycott the Olympics, calling the “Last Supper” depiction as ‘blasphemous’ and ‘vile’.

Another fan thanked Ryan Garcia for protecting Christian values. Garcia has openly expressed his love and commitment to his faith many times on social media.

Meanwhile, Jake Paul’s ex-trainer BJ Flores was also disappointed by the salacious Olympics opening ceremony and decided he wouldn’t be watching this year’s iteration of the biggest sporting event. While saying his piece, he shared a short clip of controversial influencer Andrew Tate lashing out at the people who put together the opening ceremony.

Another fan highlighted Garcia’s bizarre antics on social media. As we all know by now, the Victorville native has been handed a one-year suspension by the New York State Athletic Commission after his A and B samples tested positive for the banned substance Ostarine. This fan’s tweet was a reference to an earlier remark by Garcia where he wrote on X, “If I took the ster*ids then I’m forsure GAY”.

Meanwhile, another fan took a dig at Ryan Garcia for not being in rehab even though he said he would. In reaction to the backlash he received for his earlier racist and Islamophobic rants, Garcia agreed to check himself into rehab. However, it seems he hasn’t fulfilled his promise as he is currently in Japan, and even made an appearance at a RIZIN 3 event.
