Jajaira Gonzalez of Glendale, California bid farewell to her Olympic dream as she lost her second match of the competition to Brazilian boxer Beatriz Ferreira. However, she deserves praise for her contribution to Team USA Boxing’s outstanding start at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Her triumph over Frenchwoman Estelle Mossely gave Team USA their first win of the tournament and gave her colleagues a boost of confidence. But she won’t be able to support her team, as she is not a part of it anymore.
Olympics is a game that dabbles with dreams and destinies. The fact that Gonzalez was defeated 5-0 was what saddened her the most. However, the 27-year-old Glendale native thinks it is imperative to keep her head up. She has received a lot of support from fans and online users, in an attempt to ease her grief over her loss. Amidst this, 7-division boxing champion Amanda Serrano offered her support for Gonzalez with a joined hands emoji on social media.

Furthermore, former WBC silver super middleweight champion Shadasia Green has also come out to show her solidarity and wrote, “They won’t stop you.” Moreover, the assistant coach of Team USA Boxing, Christine Lopez stated, “This young lady right here is a Ba mfker! You haven’t seen the last!”
In addition, Lopez put out another tweet stating that “scoring was BS”. Is it possible that the judges could make a mistake on such a big level? Well, maybe. Rosie Eccles from Great Britain lost a bout to Polish boxer Aneta Rygielska, despite the fact that the latter lost points for not following the rules in the last round.
The Eccles-Rygielska fight has been a topic of debate among netizens and spectators of late. However, it would be unjust to say the same about Gonzalez’s fight with Ferreira. Check out what Gonzalez feels about her loss.
