2021 perhaps changed the course of Usyk’s boxing career. Last year, he battled Anthony Joshua in a massive setting at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. In this fight, Usyk was a heavy underdog, waiting to dethrone Joshua from his spot.
Usyk is a boxing mastermind, and he proved his brilliance against the big man from Britain. In the heavyweight frame, Usyk moved like a lightweight, confusing ‘AJ’ and not letting him land his signature right.
With his sublime game movements, ‘The Cat’ also entered Joshua’s defense, pressing him with straight lefts and jabs. The Ukrainian boxer lacked knockout power, but he still shook the Brit by connecting some shots on the chin.
