It was a night to be remembered for every boxing fan as Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury produced a clinic in front of a sold-out 26,000 crowd at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh. It was a tactical back-and-forth where Usyk, 37, came out victorious via a unanimous decision.
Regardless of the dodgy scoring, Usyk is now 2-0 up against Tyson Fury and can move forward to newer challenges. Well, it looks like he won’t have to search hard for a challenger as the IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois crashed Ukranian’s post-match interview to issue an open challenge.

It was a chaotic few minutes as Oleksandr Usyk was giving his post-match interview after his victory. ‘The Dynamite’ seeking revenge for his last year’s loss against the unified heavyweight champion, gatecrashed the interview. He grabbed the mic and declared, “Usyk, I want my revenge. I want my revenge, Usyk,” issuing an open challenge to avenge his 2023 loss.

Daniel Dubois was on a four-match win streak before he met Oleksandr Usyk last year. The duo clashed for the IBF, IBO, and WBO Heavyweight titles where the Brit lost via a 9th-round KO and is now desperately looking for a rematch.
The 27-year-old made sure to congratulate the 23-0 boxer on his sensational performance. “Well done on tonight. Well played,” before demanding the revenge fight once again. Dubois even acknowledged his promoter, Frank Warren, while asking for the fight to be made soon. “Let’s go. Where is Frank? Make it happen,” declared Dubois.
While Usyk had an annoyed look on his face, he showed nothing but class while accepting the challenge.

Oleksandr Usyk ready for the fight
Oleksandr Usyk accepted the challenge in a heartbeat and said, “No Problem,” before appealing to His Excellency Turki Alalshikh to make the rematch happen. He took the mic from Dubois and declared, “Mr. Excellency. Your Excellency, make me fight Daniel Dubois. Thank you so much,” ensuring that this fight will also be under the Riyadh Season.
With the London native currently holding the IBF heavyweight title, this rematch could be for the undisputed title, if Dubois retains his title against Joseph Parker on February 22, 2025. However, if Parker becomes the new IBF champion, chances are that HE Alalshikh will push for that clash.

Furthermore, considering that the 27-year-old will be in action in February, Usyk will have to wait for some time for this match to happen. In the meantime, he might have to face a mandatory challenger for one of his three belts, which can delay the fight.
However, with both boxers keen on the rematch, it does not look like there should be any major problems in making the fight. What do you think about Daniel Dubois vs Oleksandr Usyk’s rematch? Let us know your thoughts down below.
