On 18th May 2024, Oleksandr Usyk etched his name into the history books when he defeated Tyson Fury to become the first-ever undisputed heavyweight champion of the 21st century. Since then, he has been the hottest prospect in heavyweight boxing, making him a household name.

Usyk has been one of the best fighters on the planet since his debut. Now, after 22 undefeated bouts, he has earned his spot at the top. While the Ukrainian remains quite reserved and introverted, brands have decided to bring him into the spotlight. And after so many deals, he has picked up some of the best sponsorships.

Oleksandr Usyk has multiple sponsorship deals in places. His sponsorship with Technocom, one of the leading mobile operators in Ukraine, catapulted him into a cultural icon in Ukraine. Even Technocom benefited massively by making Usyk the face of their company, as it allowed them to reach a broader consumer base from all over the country.

Furthermore, his long-term partnership with Rival, a world-renowned boxing equipment company, is a testament to his growing popularity. Although the exact date of this sponsorship deal remains undisclosed, during the July 2018 World Boxing Super Series final, both Oleksandr Usyk and Murat Gassiev wore Rival gloves. This was one of the first instances of the Ukrainian wearing the brand’s gloves.

Additionally, the 22-0 boxer also partnered up with Thundermark Capital right after his victory in May to apply artificial intelligence with the goal of making contact sports safer. Usyk has been a long supporter of using technologies in combat sports. Previously, he co-founded an app ‘Ready To Fight’ which helped him in identifying a similar sparring partner to Tyson Fury using AI.

The brand deals are still coming as ahead of the December 21 rematch, the 37-year-old has partnered up with Tismo Geneve, a London-based watch manufacturer, to launch a watch collection before the Tyson Fury fight. Usyk’s training gloves provide the material for the straps in his new “Crown of 22” watch collection. He has also earned significantly with deals from Boxraw, Jaxet, Lomus, and WePlay Esports.

While all these sponsorships have earned him a significant amount, none of those catapulted Usyk to the mainstream like his short deal with Venum, a deal that pushed the Ukrainian pride to the next level.

Who will sponsor Oleksandr Usyk’s shorts?

Venum is one of the best brands in combat sports equipment and apparel. It has not only helped Usyk financially but has also boosted his profile amongst combat sports fans. While Usyk’s exact Venum earnings remain undisclosed, the deal contributes significantly to his income.

According to talkSPORT, Usyk’s current net worth is around  £45 million. Most of his deals came after he crushed the cruiserweight division and made himself the unified heavyweight champion. However, many of those deals were canceled during the Russia-Ukraine conflict and the 37-year-old had to leave every sponsorship for his native country.

The upcoming rematch at Riyadh is only going to increase his popularity amongst boxing fans. That will directly integrate into the 22-0 boxer getting more sponsorships.
