While speaking with the reporters post-‘Ring of Fire’, the century’s first undisputed heavyweight champion, Oleksandr Usyk, shared what he wanted to do after the win. Just go back to his family. The lead-up to one of the modern era’s biggest fights saw him away from his loved ones.
The family-centric man takes his role as a caring patriarch seriously. Michael Benson shared a photo, which the champion must have uploaded to his Instagram story. It shows him standing alongside his sons. Anyone could make out how the Olympic gold medalist’s face beamed with pride. Just to be there with his children, especially since they have accomplished something. Some of the fans didn’t waste time sharing their thoughts on the picture, though.

Benson simply wrote, “Oleksandr Usyk on Instagram today…” The photo shows Oleksandr Usyk standing in the middle, flanked by his sons on either side. In the middle, it was mentioned, “2 Gold.” The Instagram ID of his wife was also visible.

Incidentally, one of the current Instagram stories of Usyk still shows a video where his son could be seen maneuvering his opponent down on the mat. Another clip available on his wife Yekaterina‘s Instagram story leads to a post displaying snippets of a judo tournament that took place in Seville, Spain.
The message shared the list of medal winners. Among those who won the gold were Kyryl Usyk and Mikhail Usyk. During the post-fight presser, fans witnessed the two-time undisputed champion honoring his late father’s memory.

Most of the message came across as encouraging. But still, a few couldn’t resist themselves from jibing at their favorite figures.
Oleksandr Usyk: The Winning Traditions
Let’s check what some of the users said after coming across the picture.
This user seems optimistic; like their father, the sons will also one day become world champions.
Future champs 🥇🥇

But the next one had some doubts over the peculiar expression one of Usyk’s sons had on his face.
Why does the kid on the right look like he don’t want to be there 🤣

Another user shared a similar doubt. They seem to wonder what Usyk’s son, the one standing on his left, saw to warrant such a look.
What the fuck has the one on the left seen 🤣

This follower took a dig, it appears. They took up the name of Tyson Fury‘s close friend, Isaac Lowe. Teasing that the featherweight, who has a history of several participations on Fury’s main card and in fact fought on the Fury-Usyk headliner as well, should be able to put up a fight against Usyk’s sons. Unlike what his chum couldn’t accomplish?
Issac Lowe will beat both on the same night

This user wasn’t behind either. Given how ‘The Cat’s sons are coming up, they seemingly joked about the possibility that the future of Tyson Fury’s brother Tommy Fury could be in jeopardy.

Oleksandr Usyk and his wife, Yekaterina, got married in 2009. The couple are proud parents to Kyrylo (Kyryl), Mykhalio (Mikhail), Yelizaveta, and now Maria, who was born before the ‘Ring of Fire’.

It is interesting to note that, despite going against each other as adversaries, there are in fact so many things in common between Fury and Usyk. Their roles as devoted family men and loving fathers probably top the chart. Both have reportedly gone back to their families to spend some quality time and recuperate. Probably after some time, it would be back to business. ‘The Gypsy King’ has triggered the rematch clause. To all appearances, even Team Usyk is looking forward to the second fight. So, as Bob Arum shared, most probably by year-end or early 2025, fans might be able to see the concluding part of the thriller they saw on May 18.
What’s your take on the Fury-Usyk rematch? Do you think the Mancunian would avenge his first career loss?
