While Usyk may have secured his place at the top of the boxing world, there are still plenty of challenges on the horizon. One such challenge comes from British boxer Daniel Dubois, who has expressed a strong desire to face Usyk in the ring in 2025. Dubois, a rising star in the heavyweight division, has been vocal about his goal of dethroning the Ukranian and proving himself as one of the best in the world.
For the unversed, Dubois is no stranger to headlines as he has made waves in the boxing world with his knockout power and bold statements. The ‘Dynamite’ was on a four-match win streak before he met Oleksandr Usyk in August, last year. The duo clashed for the IBF, IBO, and WBO heavyweight titles where the Brit lost via a 9th-round KO and is now desperately looking for a rematch.

But here’s a twist. The 27-year-old is up for a fight against the WBO Interim heavyweight king Joseph Parker on February 22, 2025, in Riyadh for the IBF World Heavyweight Champion title. Only if he wins against the Auckland native is when Dubois will become eligible for a rematch with the undefeated Usyk.
As Usyk’s legacy grows, the prospect of him defending his titles against new challengers like Dubois only adds to the anticipation for what’s about to come in the heavyweight division. But for now, ‘The Cat’ continues to relish the success of his recent victory over Tyson Fury. As the year concludes, the question remains: what will Usyk do next? And do you think Oleksandr Usyk can maintain his undefeated record as he faces new challenges in 2025?
