A few years back, Terence Crawford and Errol Spence Jr. engaged in a sparring session with each other, but the result of that sparring was kept secret. But recently, the former 3-division champion, Shane Mosley has revealed the result of that training session. Now, sparring is usually not taken seriously, as during a spar, fighters look to improve their weaknesses and hone their strengths, rather than focusing on winning. But, in this case, it’s one of the most anticipated fights in boxing history, so it’s a bit difficult to look past the results, even if it was a casual spar.

Errol Spence Jr. and Terence Crawford are all set for the mega event on July 29th. The fight that has taken four years to come to fruition, will finally be witnessed by millions of combat sports fans across the world. This bout has also been compared to the ‘Fight of the Century’, Floyd Mayweather Jr. – Manny Pacquiao on multiple occasions. Spence believes, his upcoming fight will be more interesting than Mayweather-Pacquiao. Also, this recent revelation will intrigue a lot of keen viewers as well.

Shane Mosley talks about Spence-Crawford sparring session

The fate of the undisputed Welterweight title may have already been decided. Well, Mosley has talked to Showbizz and gave his 2 cents on the upcoming bout. More so, he even stated that Spence actually overpowered Crawford during that bout. So, a lot of fans are taking it as a sign that Spence would easily win against Crawford.

Meanwhile, many are considering it just a rumor, and a false claim. Mosley said, “I can only go by what I heard that Spence kind of did some damage to Crawford when they sparred.” And then he stated that it’ll be hard for Crawford to step inside the ring against a guy who has proven to be a problem for him before. Mosley added, “They both know each other. They both know what’s going on“.

Now this creates a weird sense of dilemma, as Mosley now believes that Spence would be holding the belt over his shoulders on July 29th. Although just a month ago, Mosley chose Crawford for the win and even remarked that Spence may not be at his hundred percent.

On May 29th, Mosley expressed his thoughts with ESNEWS, about the upcoming marquee contest between ‘Bud’ and ‘The Truth’. Last year, Spence injured his leg in a horrific car crash, and Mosley believes that this will prove to be a barrier in Spence’s path. As a veteran boxer himself, he knows what it means to get inside the ring after a massive injury.

For that reason, Mosley had said, “All of this plays a good part. And when you’re not 100% against an opponent that is just good as you, and you’re not 100%, I think it’s very hard to beat them.” And he believed that Crawford will come with his best version of himself and that’s why he leaned towards Crawford for his prediction of the upcoming bout.
