Mike Tyson is a dynamic character who has changed and grown over time. At present, Tyson, 56, the former heavyweight champion of the world, is living peacefully with his loving children and beloved wife. Recently, Tyson appeared on the Advantage Connors Podcast and had a brief conversation about his development through life.
Speaking about his growth, Tyson confessed how different his life used to be when he was young and cruising through the heavyweight division in pro boxing. Although the old Tyson was immensely successful in his life, according to his own statement, was self-destructive.

Tyson confessed by saying, “You know, no doubt about it. The old me would never be loyal to my wife. I mean, me and my girlfriends, they always did something to me. The old me was a disaster. He was very successful but he was very self-destructive – that’s the word. Self-destructive.”
Although a respectful and vigorous personality in the ring, Tyson, in his own opinion, was a disaster who lacked control in his life. Considering the mode in which he handled his past, he explained he would not be able to stay loyal to his now beloved wife.
Mike Tyson on how to succeed and fight self-destructiveness in life
Tyson, in one episode of HotBoxin’ with his guest Francis Ngannou, discussed how to fight negativity and succeed in life. According to ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’, one had to be ‘madly in love’ with oneself to succeed. If one did not love him/herself, they gave in to negativity and became self-destructive.
He said, “The tenacity, resilience, determination, and willpower to succeed, doesn’t matter what age you are. Totally pulled it positive. In love with yourself. You have to love yourself to treat yourself right.”
