Deontay Wilder recently blurted out his candid opinions on Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tyson Fury falling apart. In the interview, he stated how he was not surprised by this news.  Wilder has some personal issues with Tyson Fury, as Fury is the only opponent of Wilder who he couldn’t knockout with his punches. They’ve had three boxing fights, in which the first resulted to be a draw, while Wilder lost the rest two of the fights. Now, amidst the drama, he expected the recent Tyson Fury fiasco, about the 70/30 split, surrounding the Oleksandr Usyk fight.

The bout was earlier scheduled to happen by the end of this month, but won’t be happening anymore. The major reason was the business unsettlement, as both fighters couldn’t manage to land on the same page with each other. Both fighters had issues with one another, as one wanted something that the other refused to deliver. So, in the end, both boxers’ teams found it feasible to move on from the fight.

Deontay Wilder talked with ‘Behind The Gloves’, about the business of the boxing sport. He further addressed how the industry is so unstable that such kind of news doesn’t surprise him anymore. ‘The Bronze Bomber’ stated the example of several good fights that were canceled in the past because of the unstable nature of boxing.

Wilder said, “The business of boxing is one of the most difficult businesses to be in because it has no structure, so the business can go anywhere and have so many loopholes in it, so many tunnels, so many avenues that you can travel. So it’s not a secret. I mean this is not a surprise to me that it fell apart like that, like many other fights before.”

He even stated that he never believes the fight is happening until both fighters are inside the ring and the bell rings at the start. He pointed out examples of many fighters leaving the ring moments before the start of the bout.

Now, he didn’t say anything solely personal to Tyson Fury in this segment, but recently he called out ‘The Gypsy King’ for cheating in one of their trilogy fights.
